5 cups all-purpose flour
1 cups softened butter
2 cups whole milk
3 eggs
3 tbs baking powder
2 cups craisians
1) mix flour and baking powder
2) add butter mix until crumbles
3) milk eggs and mix until dough forms
4) fold in cransians
5) roll dough to 1 1/4 " think
6) cut out with a round cutter and place on a baking sheet
7) chill for 30 minutes
8) egg wash the top of the scones and bake at 325 for 25 min
Serve with butter and jam, flavored butters, or devonshire cream. Also they are not just for tea they are great for breakfast with coffee, too.
